WWII Iron Cross 1st Class by Mayer – M470
Offering a beautiful cased “Russian Horde” iron cross 1st class which was manufactured by the B.H Mayer’s award firm. The award is in excellent condition with just a couple specks of surface age showing, and appears to be unissued. It has a brilliant bright frame typical of the EK’s produced by this company, contrasting beautifully to the baked black iron core. The reverse is shown with the proper hardware set up, and the pin marked 26 for the Mayer’s business assigned LDO number. With this EK is the award box which houses this medal. The construction it and simulated leather covering of the container all being in very nice condition as well. SOLD
