U-Boat Size Battle Flag by Helmond

This listing is for a fantastic Kriegs battle flag in one of the most sought after dimensions that these fahne’s were manufactured in. And that is the 50 x 85cm (34”x 18”) size. Used primarily for E-boat & U-boat application when these water vessels were docked in harbor, they make the perfect size flag for collectors to display with their other items. This wonderful example remains in full length, void of any rips, tears, holes, or fraying. The colors are vivid throughout, displaying precise silkscreen straight lines. There is some extremely minor and light staining to the obverse white disc. Honestly nothing to detract from this very desirable small flag. The proper reinforce stitches run down both sides, as well as the end of the flag too. Additionally the fabric is shown with the corner double ply squares, the typical construction method we most often see with these period battle flags.
