Type I Paratrooper’s Gravity Knife by SMF – D634

Offering a minty early 3rd Reich gravity knife in outstanding condition. The tightly riveted oak grip plates to this knife have been expertly trimmed and fit with precision, and void of even so much as a pressure mark. They remain smooth to the touch, as I seriously doubt that this knife was ever issued during the period. Even the lanyard ring is stiff and riveted factory snug, alluding to the same conclusion that this edged weapon must had been taken from the SMF edge weapon firm at the end of the war. The gorgeous plating to the back strap, spring, release lever and head, is absolutely the best. And void of a single speck of corrosion, scratch, or mar anywhere. The marlin’s spike remains in new condition, and properly stamped with the stick eagle 5 Waffenampt. And finally, the blade is just a thing of beauty. Full length, unsharpened, with a killer crossgrain, it remains factory new. There is one micro imperfection an inch from the tip which is so insignificant and tiny, that it doesn’t even appear in the photos. The trademark of excellence of this gorgeous edged weapon is the etched logo of the seated king, shown on the obverse of the blade.  None finer and unissued condition.  SOLD
