SS Stick Pin by Hoffstatter – M499

Here is a decent example of a SS ZA pin which Allgemeine members wore when wearing civilian clothes, and out of uniform. These membership insignia were to show  affiliation to the organization / party. This pin displays some age and darkening to the knurled needle, as well as the reverse side. The same can be said for the silvering to the SS runes as well. In light of that, the glass fired black enamel has held up quite nicely. Which is always a plus on these items. On the reverse the disc is stamped with the Hoffstatter name, in addition to this recipients number; #70864. Always nice to have with one of these stick pins is the retaining clip as this one does, and shown in the photos. Included with this SS ZA is a period stick pin box, though not necessarily the one that this item was issued with. It makes for a neat display all the same.   SOLD
