SS Private Purchase Ring – G237

While there are a sea of fakes out there found loaded into every gumball machine, this SS ring is the real deal! Without a doubt, this has to be one of the finest condition private purchase period SS rings in existence today. These rings were sold on the open market prior to 1933, at which time the Reichsfuhrer order jewelers to cease the manufacturing and sales of them completely. This example is made of 835 silver and stamped as such internally on the band. The band remains complete, whole and intact, void of being damaged, split or cut. Which is in contrast to what we so often see with these rings from the 3^rd Reich era. At roughly a size 9.5-10, there is a little misshaping to the band as shown in the photo, though its not that terribly out of round. The glass fired black enamel has held up wonderful on this example, exhibiting just light surface wear for the most part. That enamel definitely is the most difficult component to find without significant on one of these desirable rings. Its jet black color beautifully contrasts the silver SS runes perfectly, shown centered and bordered on the front of this ring. With this ring comes a period hinged black box that it has been housed in. It’s unknown if this is the container that the ring was actually sold in during the period or not. Though it certainly appears possibly to be so.  A truly wonderful example SOLD
