SS Foreign Volunteer’s Cuff Band – C214

Even those outside of Germany and sympathetic to the Nazi regime, had a special cuff title for their uniform. Comprised of Muslims and Turks from 11 differing small Balkan zones , this unit had the dangerous task of routing out anti-partisans in Belarus, located on the border of Russia. Where once interned and prisoners of Russia, they had the option of turning on their captures to fight for Germany, or to be killed for not doing so. This cuff title remains new and unused, being 17″ inches in length. The light green bevo band display the name of the unit Ostturkischer Waffen-Verband der SS on the obverse. Where the reverse has the typical hounds tooth light gray pattern of weave. SOLD
