SS Chain Dagger Grip – D1069

Most collectors know how fragile SS grips can be, as there is usually a fair amount of these daggers in collections which have extensive damage when it comes to these rather fragile handles. If you are in need of one of these, this is a pretty good example in this offering. The wood is in fine shape, void of any cracks, splits, or repairs. As shown, there are 2 superficial section on the lower reverse where the brittle wood has flaked off. Fortunately they are on the back of this handle, and not that deep of chips which occasionally can be the case. None the less they are present. This grip technically is for a mid or later period M36 SS chain dagger as usually indicated by the copper eagle and runes button. Both of the emblems are in nice condition, displaying minimal surface wear to each. Around the top and the lower section is the 42cm knot this handle came to us with. Have a chain in need of a decent grip to make it complete, this should do the trick for you.   $995.00
