SS Armband with RZM Tag – D294

In this offering is a decent example of a period Allgemeine SS brassard. It exhibits the usual  construction made from 5 separate pieces. That being the normal dark red wool body, upon which a circle of ribbed off white was machined sewn, and finally a folded symmetrical black swastika completes the design. A little atypical  for this particular armband, the ribbing of that center circle was sewn with the pattern running horizontal, as opposed to vertical. No biggie, as the armband is definitely of the 3^rd Reich period, and conforms with all the material being utilized. On both top and bottom edges you will see the black ribbed stripes which designates this armband to be worn with the black Allgemeine SS uniform. All of the material shows light age consistent with being worn during the period, void of any detracting damage. At the reverse, the armband has been nicely folded and stitched. Lastly, on the opposite side and reverse of the white disc, is the original paper RZM tag that this armband was issued with.  A nice one with some character!  SOLD
