SS 4 Year Long Service Award – M530

Instituted in 1938 for un-interrupted faithful service in the SS, these awards had a relatively short production timeframe before being discontinued. The one in this offering exhibits fantastic die striking to the medal itself, to include the all the factory chemical darkening to both sides. It’s also laced with a short section of cornflower blue ribbon. As a side note, these 4-year examples with the period surface blackening are more of a challenge to locate in this beautiful condition than their counterpart 8-year awards. SOLD
