Single Decal Heer by Quist – H190
This helmet has a nice solid combat veteran un-touched look to it in every respect. The textured exterior has an excellent amount of factory fieldgrau paint on it’s surface, with evidence of a winter white wash that it must have had at one time. I can’t be sure, but it looks like a bloody stain of some sort on the left front of the lid. The left side exterior displays an excellent down wing eagle transfer. Always a plus, the decal has been applied fairly uniform and straight, and rates 95%. On the inside the skirt is stamped with the Quist factory initial Q 66, with a lot number that looks like DN85. The liner band remains uniform, and correctly follows the interior shell circumference void of any kinks, bends, or breaks. 3 tight split pins with their corresponding washers secure the band. The actual leather remains in good shape, being void of any excessive damage or wear. A drawstring holds the tips of the fingers properly in place. Lastly, a full length chinstrap completes the interior of this liner system. A nice single decal M40, with the look most collectors like to see. SOLD
