Silver Tank Destruction Award – M460

Think about this, leaping up on top of a moving enemy tank on the field of battle during the fight, and adhering an explosive charge onto the side of the turret in order to disable it. Talk about crazy! But that is exactly what these awards represented. The one in this offering is a nice example with that; “been there look to it.” The magnet emblem representing a Panzer IV tank shows wear and age like the rest of this award, as it has been sewn on a war hero’s tunic at one time in the past. The emblem is centered on a silver bullion strip of fabric, with top and bottom black cotton horizontal stripes running as borders.
