Rare Double Decal M35 Luft Helmet by NS64 – H238

That’s right, a rare introductory M35 which was manufactured early on by the Nickelwerke helmet firm. Seldom encountered, most of the time helmet references and internet forums will not have an but few if any examples to show or discuss. The factory exterior paint is wonderfully preserved on this example and rates a strong 99%. Even the exterior heads of the brass split pins are shown with 100% of the factory enamel intact. The paint on the inside skirt of this lid is just as nice as the exterior, while displaying the exact bluish green – grey hue. The left side is stamped with the manufactures’ initials NS 64, with the rear skirt with a lot number of D 125. Both the national as well as eagle transfers as shown have endured the test of time and are in excellent condition. As expected, the eagle transfer has the unique claw feature which only the NS firm was known to place on their Luft lids. This helmet is equipped with a single band aluminum liner all in good order which uniformly circles the inside of the shell. 3 untouched straight split pins with their corresponding washers secure the band in place. The leather remains extremely supple and in outstanding condition, exhibiting the slightest wear and use. All 8 fingers are intact and held in place by the original drawstring. A full-length aluminum buckle chinstrap completes the liner system. An extremely desirable and rare, early M35 double decal helmet manufactured by NS. $5895.00
