RAD Labor Corps Hewer by Tiger – D1068

Not only is truly an exceptional edged weapon al the way around, it is a rare maker for one of these Reich’s Labor Corps hewers. I could write forever on this description of this beauty, but I’ll keep it shorter. As the photos depict it all.

The entire hilt on this RAD hewer is nothing short of phenomenal, beginning with the grip plates of the handle. Both sections of stag antler match to a tee,  are tight to the spine, and have been trimmed as well as fit with precision. 2 Untouched screws secure the handle halves in place. And speaking of the spine, it and the integral crossguard components have the most fantastic satin nickeled finish that I have ever seen on one of these massive workhorse cleavers! That finish rates 99%, with only a surface skiff at the bottom of the crossguard where it makes the decorative curl. A stunning hilt assembly in it’s entirety on this Tiger hewer.

Equally as nice is the scabbard to this RAD. It remains straight, void of any hits, ding, creases, splits, or anything else. The period black enamel rates 99%, with just very minimal light surface imperfections and a single wear spot on the reverse, where the original hanger once rubbed.  Both upper and lower nickel plated fittings on this shell are in like new condition, void of a single tap or hit. They are held securely in place by 4 factory aluminum screws. The muted satin surface of these components exactly match the hue and color of the hilt hardware that is absolutely gorgeous. With this scabbard comes the original patent leather hanger that it was worn with. Typical for that particular product, it has been affected by heat and climate over the years, and that can be seen in the photos. As a matter of fact the design of the upper scabbard fitting is impressed right into the leather of the bullet shaped section of the hanger. With this hanger comes the upper clip and belt hanger, making this entire accoutrement totally complete.

A stunning blade completes this wonderful edged weapon. It remains full length, void of any bending, tipping, buffing, polishing, or cutting edge chips. A couple extremely minor surface imperfections and a little light edging is basically it. The factory matte muted finish is exactly what you want to see on one of these blades, as well as the dark burnished Arbeit adelt Labor Corps motto. On the reverse is a trademark that you rarely if ever see associated with these hewer. That being the stalking image of a tiger logo, proudly stating their company name spelled outkr.

This is truly a sweet RAD rig complete. Grab it before someone else does!   SOLD
