Police Officer’s Degen Hanger – A541

Collectors don’t see these accoutrements all that often. It is the ornate teardrop hanger which was used to wear with a Police / SS officer’s degen, while in formal attire. The obverse composition is overlapping bullion, with a plated and riveted large snap clip in the lower center. At the top is a decorative small retaining belt fashioned in the same material as the hanger itself. All encompassing a square hook which fastened to a clasp on a brocade belt.The reverse is reinforced with thick dark green leather, all nicely stitched and in place. The entire hanger exhibits just light wear and age overall. A fairly rare degen hanger to see offered.  $895.00
