Paratrooper’s Gravity Knife by SMF – D1030

Absolutely stunning matching oak stripped grip plates adorn this 1st model Luftwaffe paratrooper’s gravity knife. The grain lines on both sides give this hilt a great attractive look that not many FJ knives have this good of a look. They are in perfect condition, void of even a sliver of missing wood, and riveted solid to the hilt. The plated components consisting of the head, release lever and back strap while showing little to no age with just one speck on the moto side, I seriously doubt that this knife was ever issued. Everything is super tight on this Fallshirmjaeger gravity to include the blade release lever, lanyard ring, and the marlin spike. That spike is stamped with the 3rd Reich Waffenampt eagle stick figure / 5, typical of the construction of these FJ’s during the era. Finally the blade. It is full length, void of any sharpening, scars, tipping, or anything else. The blade extends and retracts with a snap of a brand new unissued example. The logo of excellence in 3rd Reich edged weapons says it all on this blade……..SMF. A truly beautiful example!   SOLD
