Ornate Podium Banner – F158

This NSDAP was the sort used in conjunction with NSDAP formal gatherings, speeches, ceremonies, etc. The 37″ inch x 37″ inch blood red cotton fabric is in decent condition, except for the lower edge sections where it looks like they had to wipe off the dip stick out of a Sd Kfz half track to do a quick oil check. In lieu of this, the rest of the material is void of any rips, tears, or damage. Three sides of the banner is adorned with a gold bullion thread border which shows some wear and age in sections. Particularly in the lower corners where there is a 3 1/2 ounce weight that is sewn in for the purpose of holding the banner stationary while displayed during an outside ceremony. This is a single sided pennant is emblazoned with a 13″ inch white circle in which a canted black swastika has been printed. Completing the banner is a set of ties intact at the top in which it was tied to a podium from where the NSDAP official spoke. This is not your ordinary banner that the public flew from their windows during parades. But an official item used at Nazi party ceremonies.  $450.00
