Model M35 Double Decal Police Helmet by N.S. – H204

As the title states, this is an early double decal police lid which was produced by the Nickelwerke helmet factory. The exterior dark green paint typical for this company, displays excellent coverage throughout as shown in the photos. Even the heads of the split pins retain nearly 100% of their surface covering intact. On the wearer’s left side of the lid, a beautifully gold toned and lacquered NS eagle transfer has been applied straight as well as centered to the vent hole. As shown, there is one scuff to the left wing area. The remainder of the decal displays quite nicely. On the opposite side a killer swastika decal rates nearly %100 intact. On the inside of this M35 the reinforced liner band is in good shape, being void of any breakage or major misshaping. It remains solid to the shell, and held firmly in place by 3 untouched split pins with their corresponding washers. The left skirt of the shell is stamped with the manufacture’s initials and size; N.S. 64. Though not shown, there is a very clear and legible dome stamp dated 1938 in the crown. And lastly, while dark with use and age the leather liner still remains supple with all of the 8 fingers intact. The original chinstrap is present, though the tip is broken off and lying in the bottom of the shell.  A nice un-touched M35 double decal.   SOLD
