Minty SA Dagger by Heller – D1240
You can go to the biggest militaria shows as well as search dealer websites, and still not encounter an SA dagger as nice as the one in this offering. This one doesn’t need much of a description whatsoever, as you can see why.
These Heller Stormtrooper’s daggers are a thing of beauty, and it all starts with the grip. The red and brown vertical grain line striping in this near perfect handle is absolutely beautiful. Where the overall condition of the wood is exactly the same. Both emblems consisting of the high neck eagle and SA runic are in good shape, exhibiting minimal surface wear. As for the crossguard fittings, both remain extremely smooth, as they have been lightly cleaned in the past. Truly a beautiful grip and hilt assembly on this early nickel silver SA dagger.
When it comes to one of these introductory daggers manufactured over 90 years ago, rarely do collectors encounter a scabbard as nice as this example. Not only is the chemical brown oxide in as nice of preservation, which is shown in the photos, but the protective lacquer is also nearly all present as well! Both upper and lower nickel fittings project a smooth clean surface finish, as well as being secured by 4 un-touched dome head screws.
Finally, the blade. What a killer example, and have a look for yourself!
An SA like this rarely makes my website. Grab this one, I kid you not! $1795.00 RESERVED
