Mint Army Officer’s Sword by Holler – D1007

Few edged weapons fit into the actual minty category per se’. And for those that do, there isn’t enough of them to go around for the demand. Here is truly one sweet Heer sword in this offering.

The fire gilt brass hilt to this beautiful Holler is a sight to behold. That rather delicate finish has held up very strong on these components, and rates at 97%. All of those parts are tight, save for a little movement in the ferrule which is very typical on these swords. The dark Trolon grip is in excellent condition, and void of any chips, crack, breakage, or missing material. Wrapped super tight around it and all in place, the decorative springy type twisted wire has turned totally black with the patina over its surface. Lastly, the simulated ruby eyes in the lion head are clear, and set firmly in place.

As for the scabbard, it is as straight as the day that it came out of the Holler edged weapon firm. The jet black period paint is stone mint! I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a shell on any 3rd Reich sword as more perfectly preserved as the one shown to this stunning lion head Heer officer’s sword. It is truly beyond any further description.

The 32” plated blade just like that of the scabbard, totally mint. It just doesn’t get any more perfect!

With this sword comes the original bag that it was housed in, and protected the fantastic overall condition of this edged weapon for all of these years. It shows some wear and age, and has one tear to the seam where the knuckle bow corner rubbed on it.

Grab this one…………..as few are in the condition category as this baby!   SOLD
