Mid Period M33 SS Dagger by Wusthof – D1225
Oh, I know you want an early SS dagger and not an RZM SS dagger, so don’t look at this one. Unless you would like to truly see a nice example of one! 🙂
This pre-war Wusthof M33 has an excellent grip, which remains void of any splits, chips, cracks, or missing wood. Typical for most of these political daggers it exhibits some light pressure marks. Like every example that I’ve seen produced by this manufacture during the mid period edged weapon production period, the emblems consist of an aluminum grip eagle and an early nickel silver SS runes. While the softer metal eagle shows some surface wear, the SS runic is as nice as they get. The early plated fittings have held up decently, displaying light surface age due to the time this dagger was carried by its owner. A nice grip and hilt assembly on this Ed Wusthof SS dagger.
An excellent scabbard accompanies this mid period SS. The shell remains straight, void of any hits, creases, bends, splits, or dings. The period factory black enamel is very presentable indeed, still rating strong at 95%. The surface shows the crazing age lines of what you want to see most of the time with these period painted scabbards. Both upper and lower fittings are in exceptional condition, void so much as even a single ding to them. And finally, a nice matching hanger through the upper fitting ring completes this scabbard assembly.
Lastly, we finish up with the blade. Take a look at the photos and tell me what you think. It doesn’t get any better!
Rarely do we even encounter an RZM SS dagger that is as nice as what is being offer in this listing here. Grab this one, you’ll love it! SOLD
