Mid Period Hitler Youth Knife – D963

Offering a decent mid period Hitler Youth knife in this listing. Both fore and aft checked grip plates ae in good shape, void of any chipping, cracks, or missing material. A choice HJ diamond is shown expertly place in the center of the obverse Bakelite section. The enamel has held up very good, being void of any chipping or hits. Even most of the silver background is still present around the black swastika. While there is some oxidation and lifting to the metal components of the hilt, most is confined to the top section of the pommel. A beautiful period blued scabbard accompanies this youth knife. Although it’s difficult to see in the photos, the finish remains extremely strong at 98%. At the top of the shell a fine leather hanger all intact, and functions just fine. Lastly the blade. It is an unmarked reinforced riccasso type which we occasionally see with both motto and non-motto blades alike. A good looking Blut und Ehre  burnished motto is darker and more prominent than most of these prewar HJ that collectors encounter. Finally, the surface exhibits the typical wear and age that most of these youth knives usually show.    A good solid motto example.    $895.00
