M40 Luft Sawdust Camo by Quist 66 – H221

Certainly, one of my favorite helmets from the collection I am selling is this Luftwaffe sawdust camo. The exterior exhibits wear and age as you would expect for a hard ridden workhorse. The surface has a neat multi-colored paint scheme with wear to it, as well as the textured sawdust application. On the inside all 3 rivets with their corresponding washer are tight and intact, holding the metal framework properly in place. The 9-finger leather liner is in good shape. It remains supple while being void of any rips, tears, rodent damage, or repairs. An original drawstring holds the end of the fingers properly in place. A full-length chinstrap which came with this helmet is shown placed over the brim. It looks to have some type of preservative on the surface of it. Finally, the inside skirt is stamped Q66, with a lot number which looks like 4884 or 4834. $2995.00
