M35 Single Decal by Quist 68 – H215
This is a very nice model M35 lid in which the National transfer was removed in accordance with the 1940 high command directive. The exterior paint remains in fine condition in spite of the camera flash in some of the photos. The right side of the helmet has just the outline of the decal where its owner delicately removed it. On the wearer’s left side, the eagle transfer has been applied nice and straight while being centered to the air vent and remains strong at 95%. Looking at the interior, the reinforced aluminum liner circles the shape of the helmet perfectly, and is void of any major bends, twists, or breakage. It remains tight to the shell with 3 untouched split pins with their corresponding washers. As for the leather, it is still in supple condition with all 9 fingers intact, and held by what looks like a replacement drawstring. A full-length early chinstrap with aluminum buckle appears to be the original to this early Heer helmet. Finally, the shirt is stamped with the company’s initials Q68, with a lot number of 3331. A nice large M35, with fine paint and decal transfer. $2795.00
