M35 Double Decal Police Helmet by Quist – H210

This is an extremely fine double decal Nazi Police helmet produced during the earliest manufacturing timeframe for these lids. The lighter shade of green which is textbook for the Quist helmet firm remains in wonderful condition throughout, including the paint to the heads of all 3 split pins. The shell itself is in great shape, being void of any dents, dings, or major scaring. An excellent factory outstretched police eagle transfer is shown on the wearers left side of the exterior, all nicely applied straight and uniformly centered to the vent hole. On the opposite side the party shield too remains nicely preserved as you can see, with just a very slight cant to it’s application. On the inside brim at the back of the shell a lot number of 2918 has been stamped into the steel. Moving around to the side of the skirt the firm’s initial and size reads Q66. Though not shown in the photos, there is a nice clear ink dome stamp that is dated 1936, a very early production helmet for one of these M35’s. As expected for this year manufacturing, this helmet is equip with a single band aluminum liner frame. And with the rest of the aspects of this beautiful helmet, it is in good shape and uniformly held proper to the inside circumference of the shell by 3 straight split pins with their corresponding washers. As for the leather, it is in soft pliable condition with all 8 fingers intact, and the original drawstring gathering the tips of each. At the reverse the leather is embossed with manufacture’s name Schuberth and size 58. An excellent matching aluminum buckle chinstrap completes the liner system of this shell. You just don’t see these intro M35 police lids in this fantastic of condition. And this one certainly is a screamer that has it all!  SOLD
