M35 Double Decal Luft by Q66 – H208

This listing as the title states, is for a Model 35 double decal Luftwaffe helmet which was manufactured by the Quist firm. The  exterior paint display decent coverage overall, with a more green hue than blue. The steel is in good shape, void of any hits, dings, splits, or dents. On the wearer’s left side the eagle in flight transfer has held up nicely, compared to many early examples applied by this helmet firm. It rates a strong 95%. On the opposite side the same can be said for the tricolor national. It too is a good looking example and applied nice and straight. On the inside of this helmet the skirt is stamped with the manufacture’s initial and size: Q66. Where as the back of the shell with the lot number 2358. The liner band is reinforced aluminum type. It remains uniform in shape, follows the circumference of the inner shell, and void of any splits, kinks, bends, or misshaping. All 3 split pins are straight, tight to the shell, and complete with their corresponding washers. Where the leather has stiffened and dried over the years, it remains in decent shape, being void of any tears, rips, or missing material. The original gathering drawstring is present and is laced though the ends of the 8 untorn fingers. Lastly, there is a partial chin strap which is stiff and missing the buckle, in addition to part of the long end. Not many decent helmets being offered on the market today. This is an untouched straight forward example.    $2975.00
