M35 Double Decal Army by ET – H182

In this offering is an excellent early Heer lid which was manufactured by the Eisenhutten- Thale helmet producer. It is a large size being a 68, with the lot number of 3076. The exterior paint remains in good condition void of any dents or damage, while displaying even wear and age. A nicely toned eagle transfer has been applied fairly uniform on the left side of the lid, and remains strong at 95%. On the other side the national showing somewhat more wear, though still very pronounced. Looking at the inside, the 9 finger liner system is in good shape, with the supple leather void of any tears or rips. It looks like the original drawstring has been replace at one time, as an atypical black one is now in it’s place. The early single aluminum band is held solid by 3 straight rivets with their corresponding washers. Completing this helmet is what appears to be it’s original early aluminum buckle full length chinstrap. Though supple, the leather shows quite a bit of age.
