Luftwaffe Fighting Knife – D806

In spite of the surface age on the blade of this Luft fighting knife, it remains full length, void of any sharpening, tipping, shortening, or cutting edge chips. Both oak grip plates are securely riveted to the spine, void of any damage, movement, or missing material. As shown, the riccasso is stamped with the stick eagle Waffenamt with the number 5. The scabbard to this knife is in good shape. The original period black enamel is very strong at 98%. The dual prong spring clip is a bit bent out as you can see in the photos. Most likely the result of the knife being worn fastened to a thicker piece of combat equipment, which made it easier for the soldier who carried it. SOLD
