Hoffstatter SS Stick Pin – M440
These SS stick pins are quite desirable in the 3rd Reich collecting community. Among a pile of fakes always being offered, finding an original can be a challenging hunt to say the least. Intended to be worn on civilian clothes when an Allgemeine solder was out of his militaria uniform, they designated the recipients party affiliation. Though the obverse at a point in time has had some black enamel repair to probably an area which was chipped, it still displays just fine. Considering it is being offered at a budget price for what these Zw pins usually go for. The silver SS runes have not been re-touched, and exhibit the striations across their surface which was very typical for this maker. The needle is original, has not been replaced, and comes with the type of clutch catch sometimes used as safety fasteners.
