Hitler Youth Knife – D1020

This HJ is a pretty decent knife, and will display just fine for someone that looking for such an edged weapon perhaps with a budget in mind. The grip plates are exceptional on the hilt of this war time produced knife. They are beautifully checked, trimmed and fit with precision, and tightly riveted to the spine. A fine looking Hitler Youth diamond has been expertly set in the obverse half, and remains in extremely nice condition. The quality plating to the crossguard, front / back straps, and pommel, is some of the best you will see on one of these kids knives. With about the only imperfection being where the hanger snap rides. The scabbard to this HJ is in good shape as well. It is straight, and void of any bends, crease, hits, or splitting. The black enamel is rather course on this shell, indicating that it has been touched up at some time in the past. The hanger is intact, remains tightly riveted to the shell, with the hold down strap and snap, both of which function fine. Lastly, the unmarked blade is straight, full length, void of any tipping sharpening, or cutting edged chips. The surface has been cleaned at some point in time, though not buffed by any means. The leather blade washer is intact as well.   SOLD
