Hitler Youth Knife by M&A – D888

Offering a Transitional HJ knife in collectible in very nice condition overall. Take a look at the hilt plating, as you don’t often see it as intact as shown on this 3^rd Reich Hitler Youth knife. It remains smooth on both the obverse and the reverse, with little wear. Both grip plates are nicely checked, and firmly riveted to the spine of this knife. A beauty of a HJ diamond is shown in the center of the obverse plate. The condition is excellent, void of any hits or chips to the enamel. The color remains vivid, even to include some of the original silvering surrounding the swastika. An exceptionally scabbard accompanies this knife. The period black enamel is fantastic, and rates 99%. Though not shown, the inner fabric covered runners are still bright white as well. This scabbard is equip with it’s original maker marked hanger. The leather shows some typical light wear and age. At the top the snap hold down is in place and functions fine. For one of these youth knives, the blade is truly exceptional. It is straight, void of any bending, tipping, sharpening, or cutting edge chips. An excellent matt finish is intact and displays on both sides. On the obverse ricasso is the logo and name of the edged weapon firm that manufactured this knife; Malsch & Ambron. On the reverse their RZM contract number; M7/87. A nice untouched HJ knife exhibiting light use overall.  Grab this one!  SOLD
