Fireman’s Bayonet by Eickhorn – D860
This listing is for an exceptional 3rd Reich fireman’s bayonet, complete. The grip plates and plating on the hilt of this edged weapon are extremely beautiful, showing just a little age on the reverse of one quillion. Both Bakelite halves are nicely checked and tightly riveted to the spine. As for the blade, it features the 1935-41 Eickhorn stamped squirrel trademark. The plating is in damn near mint condition, from hilt to tip, and on both obverse as well as reverse sides. With this bayonet come an excellent scabbard. The shell is nice and straight, and displays a period black enamel finish that rates 95%. Finally as a nice touch, this scabbard is complete with an excellent frog with proper knot. SOLD
