ET/CKL 62 Single Decal Heer – H184

Offering an attractive M42 single decal helmet, which manufactured by the renown firm of Eisenhutten – Thale. The exterior feldgrau factory paint rates very good on all sides of this lid, to include the crown. While projecting an even matte finish overall to the textured surface. On the left side of the helmet is an excellent Heer decal which has been applied uniformed, centered, and straight. This is always nice to see with any transfer, as so many were applied rather askew at times. On the interior skirt, the steel has been lightly stamped at the reverse with the letters that this firm changed over to in 1943; CKL 62. Additionally with a lot number of 2759, if I’m seeing it correctly. Though not shown in the photos, the crown is inked with a fairly clear dome stamp. The steel liner band remains uniform, void of any kinks or breakage, and follows the proper circumference of the interior. 3 super tight split pins hold the liner band to the shell. All are straight and retain their appropriate washers. The 8 finger liner is held by what appears to be the original drawstring to this helmet. As for the leather, it is in decent supple condition, displaying average use and wear. A partial chinstrap piece is shown remaining on the right side bale. While the other side has the complete short section intact. Truly a nice M42 overall. SOLD
