EKI by Mayer – M458

With tons of Iron Cross’ that were produced during the 3rd Reich, collectors have plenty to choose from when it comes to their purchase. Let’s face it, there were over 100 makers of this prestige combat award, and there were 10,000’s of them produced. Nothing epitomizes the symbol of the 3rd Reich era, more than that of the EKI. So it is without a doubt, a medal that is common in the collections of most 3rd Reich enthusiasts.

In this offering we have an EKI by the B.H. Mayer firm. Mayer applied a frosty finish to their crosses and this one still retains some of that look with a bit of wear. The baked on flat black iron core, is in good condition as well with just slight wear. The reverse of this award still retains some of it’s original silver finish. Completing the assembly is the coke bottle shaped polished pin, which is simply marked with the Mayer firm’s contract number, 26. This Iron Cross is housed in the original award box that it was manufactured with. As you can see, the condition is matches that of the award itself.   $750.00
