Early Stormtrooper’s Dagger by Lauterjung – D1055

Offering a fine untouched nickel silver SA dagger, exactly in the condition that so many collectors seek out to find for their own personal collections. This dagger was manufactured by the small H&F Lauterjung edged weapon firm, and comes in at an 8 on the rarity list. If you’re a purist, grab this one! It not only has rarity, but condition too.

A beautiful grip begins the description on this early SA. As shown, the handle is laten with light and dark grain, ranging from brown to red. The wood is in excellent condition, void of any splits, cracks, pressure marks, or missing chips. There is a little lifting to the top of the wood which is left of the runes at the upper crossguard. Looks to have been this way for a long time, and often a trait observed with many SA & SS grips. Other than that, it’s a beautiful looking handle on this dress dagger to say the least. Both the eagle and SA runic button are totally dark with a heavy patina that has built up on their surfaces. And talk about untouched, how about those crossguards and pommel nut? What a fantastic look to this entire hilt assembly on this Lauterjung Stormtrooper’s dagger.

A fantastic scabbard accompanies this untouched edged weapon. The shell remains perfectly straight, void of any hits, dings, splits, bends, or creases. A gorgeous chemically brown finish remains strong on this scabbard on both obverse and reverse sides. Both the upper and lower fittings are dark as ole get out, and match the hilt fitting to a tee. They are held solid to the shell and are securely in place. One of the bottom screws is actually factory drilled a little off center than should be, and the other shows some slot tightening. Don’t wig out and flop on the floor it’s only 2 screws, and besides this was a very small cottage firm

And we finish up with the blade, and a fine one at that. It is full length, straight, void of any tipping, sharpening, buffing, polishing, or cutting edge chips. The surface exhibits a little bit of age here and there, but no biggie. For such a beautiful untouched dagger, it totally goes with the look of this entire edged weapon all the way through. It’s best not to mess with trying to improve on these age spots, as all kinds of bad things can happen. A fantastic muted crossgrain covers the surface of this blade both obverse and reverse, from hilt to tip. And finally, a stunning dark burnished acid etched Alles fur Deutschland motto is the icing on the cake, of this uncleaned and untouched SA.

Grab this one, before I have to stash it myself! What a sweet dagger in it’s entirety. Buffers need not apply    $1575.00
