Early SA Dagger by Pfeilringwerk – D1058

Here is an early Stormtrooper’s dagger produced by a smaller manufacture which is not all that often encountered in the collecting community. Not only does it have a neat logo, it also comes in as an 8 on the rarity charts. Take a look at this Pfeilringwerk SA.

The grip on the hilt of this edged weapon is a dark brown both obverse and reverse, with a very smooth to the touch surface though out. The wood remains in decent condition, though there is some minor flaking and a couple hairline crack at the area of where the handle meets the upper crossguard. I know, I know, you guys want every component to be absolutely mint on these daggers. But if you can live with that, the rest of this edged weapon is truly exceptional. Especially considering the rarity of the maker. Both the eagle and the SA runes button are in good shape, displaying minor surface wear. A set of uncleaned smooth nickel fittings complete the hilt assembly.

The scabbard to this SA is about as nice as they get. The shell is straight, void of any hits, dings, creases or splits. The original period brown oxidizing on this scabbard is truly remarkable, and that includes the presence of 85% of the factory protective clear lacquer over the surface. Both upper and lower solid nickel fittings remain in fine shape, and held solid to the shell with 4 factory dome head screws. So nice is the condition of this scabbard, the bottom fitting ball barely has a tap to it.

As for the blade, all of our competitors would grade it mint +++. But you be the judge

This is a very nice nickel silver SA, rare maker, and beautiful edged weapon overall.  SOLD
