Early SA Dagger by Bickel – D1147

Offering a nice un-touched early Stormtroopers SA dagger in this listing. Typical for this manufacture, the handle has a more slender profile to it while exhibiting a pronounced sharp spinal ridge running down the center. The wood remains in excellent condition, and void of any chips, flakes, splits, repairs, or missing material. As shown in the photos, a beautiful dark as well as light grain runs through this attractive grip, on both obverse and reverse sides. Both the eagle as well as the SA runic are dark with age, as noting has been cleaned on this souvenir returned from WWII. The emblems are in fine shape and have been set straight as well as flush to the wood. The crossguard fittings and pommel nut are green as all get out, just like a lot of purest love to see.

An excellent scabbard accompanies this Bickel SA dagger. The shell remains straight, void of any major creases, hits, dings, splits, or other damage. For an early SA most likely carried often by it’s original owner, the factory brown chemical surface has held up extremely nice on this shell. Even to the extent that there is quite a bit of protective lacquer still intact as well. Both the upper and lower nickel fittings are secure and tight to the shell, and like the hilt hardware components are encrusted with an undisturbed patina. 2 dome head nickel screws secure the throat.

A fine blade puts the finishing touches on this introductory SA. It remains straight, full length, void of any tipping, sharpening, buffing, or cutting edge chips. While the surface projects some light age, what would you expect from a dagger which has basically remained un-touched for the last 90 years? In lieu of that, the surface still exhibits an excellent fine line crossgrain running from the bottom of the crossguard to tip, on both sides. Lastly, a nice dark burnished Alles fur Deutschland motto is shown acid etched straight down the obverse.

A truly fine all green example, that a purest collector is going to love.   $1295.00
