Early Rare SS Officer’s Degen Knot – A686

Though I’ve had a few of these elusive early cloth tagged SS degen knots in the past, this is the first I’ve ever owned with that 1935 dated label. In essence, this knot actually predates the official M36 degen which was introduced in the spring of 1936. Rarely do we see these super early example knots on those 1936 nickel swords. Additionally these  1935 cloth dated knots would have been also worn with silver panther head, and early brass hilt lionhead swords carried by SS officers before the official M36 came into production. All of the bullion is tight on the acorn and the cap, and firmly in place. Both obverse and reverse black runes and absolutely the best as shown in the photos. The slide is present, where as the straps show light age and use where it was once tied on a sword. Grab this one, as I seriously doubt that you might see another being sold separately. $1795.00
