Early Luftwaffe Flak Badge by Scholze – M517

Offering the so called “ball hinge” maker, this early Tombac nickel silver Luft flak badge is an excellent example of one of the most impressive designed combat awards manufactured during the 3rd Reich period.  As you can see it is nicely toned on the obverse with a dark patina that has settled into the recesses of the eagle / wreath relief. Both highlighting that big ole 88, the gun that rocked all of Europe during the infamous era. On the reverse the hinge, pin, and catch are all intact. The pin does flop down a little as the result from the time it was being worn by the awardee who earned it.    SOLD
