Cloth German Cross in Gold Heer Type I – C289
Constructed using the 2nd style Juncker wreath as proper, this DKiG exhibits exactly what you would expect to see with the die flaw “9”, as well as the “fingerprint notches” associated with these awards. The feldgrau 8 pointed backing exhibits light wear and age, and certainly looks to have been sewn on a uniform at one time. The Juncker style wreath has some age and oxidation as one would expect from a worn piece. In the center the black swastika is nice and symmetrical considering the complex nature and multi piece construction of these awards. A nice example with some character age of being on a decorated combatant’s tunic. SOLD
