Army Officer’s Dagger by WKC – D818

When it comes to 3rd Reich daggers, there are always a ton of Heer officers out there for collectors to chose from. Here is a solid example for an introductory price.

A beautiful orange grip sets the hilt of this edged weapon off right from the start. The Trolon material is in excellent condition, being void of any chips, cracks, fractures or missing material. A nice heavy nickel plated tomahawk eagle crossguard is shown with beautiful detailed features to the bird, wreath, and swastika. Holding the hilt assembly tight and solid, is the 12 leaf pommel which like the ferrule, has toned dark with a rich patina.

A beautiful scabbard accompanies this Heer officer’s dagger. It remains perfectly straight, void of any major hits, bends or creases. There is some edge tapping to the shell, which is basically out of the viewers sight. Like the hilt fittings, an attractive dark patina covers this scabbard on both sides. A single side screw holds the throat in place. A signature of the WKC edged weapon firm.

We finish up with the blade. Though it does have some surface oxidation in places, it remains straight, full length, and void of any sharpening or cutting edge chips. In light of that, it still shows a nice crossgrain in the areas not affected by the age spots. On the reverse is the knight’s head logo which 3rd Reich edged weapon collectors know so well, that of the WKC firm.
