Army Officer’s Dagger by Holler – D764

The F.W. Holler edged weapon firm certainly was known for manufacturing some very attractive army daggers during the 3rd Reich which were equipped with “glass grips”, artificial ivory, and a beautiful array of colors . Here’s a beauty in this offering.

Very desirable in the edged weapon collecting community are the dark red handles occasionally encountered on Wehrmacht army, Luft, and navy daggers. And that is exactly what we have in this listing. As shown in the photos, the grip to this dagger is about as dark red as a collector could only hope to discover as a treasure for his collection. While it does have some hairline fissures as well as a base chip covered by the ferrule, it honestly is not all that detracting for such a desirable grip variation. To contrast and go with this desirable deep red handle, take a look at the jet-black hardware consisting of the crossguard, ferrule, and pommel components. What an absolute gorgeous look to the entire hilt on this Holler Heer dagger!

As with the hilt fittings, the scabbard to this dagger is black as all get out! The shell remains straight, and void of any dings, creases, splits, or bends. Both scabbard bands are firmly in place and hold the hanger rings properly. One reverse set screw at the lip of the shell secures the throat.

We finish with the blade, and the description is short…………………..SWEET!

A couple little challenges to an otherwise stunning untouched Holler army officer’s dagger.  $925.00
