Army Dagger by Kopling – D947

Here we have a rare maker Heer dagger that is in great collector condition. Take a peek. The overall look of this dagger just flows from hilt to tip. The Trolon grip has taken on an appealing orangish/yellow tint, and is void of any chips, cracks or missing material. All 3 nickel plated components of this hilt have turned dark with age, their surfaces covered with a rich black patina.

The scabbard to this dagger is in excellent condition. It remains straight, void of any hits, splits, creases, or bends. It too has taken on a dark hue like the hilt fittings. Both of the shell bands are firmly in place, and hold the hanger rings properly. As typical for this manufacture, the pressure fitted throat void any screws.

In regards to the blade, it’s extremely nice in near mint condition! It remains full length, void of any tipping, sharpening, pits, buffing, or cutting-edge chips. Additionally with an absolutely gorgeous crossgrain running down both sides, from hilt to tip. On the reverse is the rare maker mark of Kopling.

A rather tough maker to find in a 3rd Reich army officer’s dolch, and truly in collector condition throughout.     SOLD
