Allgemeine SS Officer’s Brocade Rig – B179

That right, in this offering is a rare SS Allgemeine officer’s brocade and buckle set complete. The 37” inch full length belt is in good condition, being void of any major rips, tears, or powdering oxidation. As most collectors are aware of and shown in the photos, the outside of these dress brocades have a striking bullion display a subtle alternating oak leaf and SS runic design. In the past this set has been displayed in a folded flat manner. And as a result there is some creasing to the bullion. It’s not all that horrible compared to the one that I saw at a show last summer. As it was wound tighter than a drum in a circular fashion, which absolutely ruined every inch of the bullion on that belt as you can imagine. That aside, it’s probably best to keep the shape of this belt in the form it is now for display purposes. Though it certainly could possibly work on a uniform set up as well. Both original keepers are present, void of repairs, and are in good shape overall.  Like the inner lining of the brocade, they too  are of  black velvet. Speaking of the lining, it is in excellent condition, void of any rips, tears, insect damage, or anything else. The full leather adjuster is intact, and stamped with the manufacturing firms initials at the end. Completing this set is an absolute killer Aluminum Overhoff marked buckle. It truly is drop dead stone mint, and properly marked; RZM, 36/39, olc, SS.
