Allgemeine SS Officer’s Brocade Rig – B152

This listing is for a gorgeous black velvet backed brocade, and buckle for an SS officer. The large 105mm belt is virtually like new, being unissued. On the exterior the bullion work consisting of alternating SS runes and oak leaves, is just the best. Being void of any damage, powdering, or oxidation. Nice for a change, the belt has not been wound up all that tightly while stored, and displays just minimal wrinkling to the bullion work. Both keepers come with this rig, and are properly held together with felt backing. On the underside, the brocade displays a near perfect black velvet lining which matched the Allgemeine SS officer’s uniforms that these were worn with. As you can see in the photos, the leather adjuster is mint as well, and stamped with the maker initials JFR. You can also see the size listed at 105mm. With this rig is the best zinc Overhoff buckle that I have ever seen. The exterior finish is totally outrageous, while showing just a little bit of age to the catch center section that is typical for these late war buckles. The reverse is marked SS OLC RZM 36/43. Lastly, this brocade come with the unmarked box that we received it in. The cardboard base has separated due to the glue drying out. It can easily be repaired, as there is no other damage to it. As many collectors are aware of, these black velvet back SS officer Allgemeine brocades are not all that often encountered, compared to their Waffen counterparts. The beautiful zinc buckle puts this set over the top!   SOLD
