Early SA Dagger by F. Dick – D1288
This is a beautiful dagger all the way through, in uncleaned condition. The grip is in an excellent state of preservation, and no doubt due to the factory clear lacquer which was applied to its surface during the final manufacturing process. Both upper and lower crossguards exhibit a line of verdigris between the nickel and the wood, as this dagger has never been apart nor cleaned since being returned as a souvenir from WWII. Likewise, the scabbard to this SA is as about as nice as a collector could hope for. To include the un-cleaned nickel fittings, shell, and fine period chemical brown oxide finish. And to add to that, a nice 2-piece early hanger which has been on this sheath forever completes this component perfectly. Finally, the blade. It’s a total screamer! $2075.00
