Early Rare Maker SA Dagger by Gebr Berns – D1282
It’s not often that a collector will encounter both rarity as well as condition to go with it, when referencing an early M33 SA dagger. Though the Storm Troopers’ dagger offered in this listing has both of those attributes. Take a look.
An excellent smooth grip to this edged weapon has been preserved beautifully, which was probably due to the factory polishing that was done by this small, dagger firm during the period. The grip as well as the emblems remain in exceptional condition. Both upper and lower crossguard remain smooth throughout and have taken on a muted appearance to their surfaces. Truly a fantastic hilt in its’ entirety on this rare maker SA.
The scabbard to this dagger remains in very good condition. The shell is straight, void of any hits, dings, splits, or creases. The brown chemical oxide finish has held up nicely, which incidentally still has 10% of the factory protective lacquer on the surface. Both upper and lower nickel fittings are in good shape and held securely by 4 un-touched factory dome-head screws.
Finally, we finish up with an excellent blade which is loaded with crossgrain on this very desirable as well as rare, Gebr Berns trademarked SA.
This one has it all; desirability, rarity, condition. $1650.00
