Personalized Slant Grip Heer – D1277

This is an interesting early production Heer dagger which displays silver over the top of magnetic fittings, 14 leaf pommel, as well as a slant grip handle. Even more so, though the blade is not marked with a manufacture logo, it has a tapered tang as collectors know was an introduction army dagger characteristic. Judging from the components that this dagger is comprised of, it’s very possible that this army is one of the elusive examples which was produced by the Weyersberg edged weapon firm perhaps as a special order. That is further reinforced by the rare family coat of arms which is shown beautifully etched on the reverse of the crossguard. What a neat dagger that has it all; early silver production, 14 leaf pommel, tapered tang, slant grip, and beautiful family crest etch! $1475.00
