Heer Officer’s Dagger by Eickhorn – D1268
Yes, this and WKC are the most commonly seen 3rd Reich Army officer daggers which collectors see being offered on the market, but they always seem to please the crowd. Especially when they are totally black, with a minty blade. That is exactly what is in this offering.
The only other thing to add to what the photos clearly show, is that this beautiful, untouched edged weapon comes with its original portapee laced in place as you see it. Additionally, the Trolon grip has turned an attractive yellow color, which is not all that often seen with Heer daggers from the period. On the reverse it has one little nick to a rung that you can see in the photo.
