Early M33 SS Dagger by RZM 18835 – RC160

For a new collector, finding an early all nickel, introductory SS dagger, in what would be considered a budget category, can be a challenge. Usually, they are in deplorable condition if priced so. If you have been in search for such an example, the one in this offering may just fit the bill for you.

Probably one of the most important components in considering purchasing an SS dagger is the grip condition and emblems set in it. Well, this M33 dagger has an excellent condition handle, as well as a nice set of eagle and SS runic insignia. The grip is an absolute beauty, void of any chips, flakes, cracks, missing chunks of wood, or repairs. The crossguards display smooth surfaces throughout, with a muted dull patina which has developed over them.

The scabbard to this dagger remains in very nice condition. The shell is straight, void of any hits, dings, bends or splits. The original factory black enamel is well preserved and rates a strong 98%. While both upper and lower nickel silver fittings are in good shape, the lower is missing one of the dome head fastening screws.

Finally, the blade. It remains straight, full length, void of any tipping, sharpening, pitting, buffing, cleaning, or cutting-edge chips. Avowed, it does exhibit some surface age which does not detract all that bad for such an un-touched edged weapon. The surface still depicts a nice factory crossgrain in the areas which are clear. A light gray etched Meine Ehre heist Treue motto is shown on the obverse. Whereas the reverse with the unknown maker’s contract number, RZM 188/35 SS.

A nice solid early SS dagger all the way through. $3895.00
