Early Ground Rohm SA Honor Dagger by Eickhorn – D1227
For an example of a Ground Rohm dagger as a result of the June 1934 murder of the top leaders within the SA, this without a doubt is a very nice dagger. The hardware to the hilt is the in-house variety as shown by the hand enhanced decorative grooves which the Eickhorn firm was noted for. And that carries over to the characteristics of the grip. This company used burlwood primarily for their handles, and this is an exceptionally example on this extremely nice SA.
This dagger comes with fine scabbard which remains straight, devoid of any bends twists, hits, or dings. The chemical brown oxide finish displays certainly good, to include about 10% of the original factory protective lacquer. Through the upper fitting ring is an excellent short hanger that has been with this scabbard since the infamous period. Because of its wonderful condition, it is certainly a nice added value to this beautiful SA.
Take a look at that blade, as it is truly stunning! Factory ground and then re-polished, while leaving the entire small oval Eickhorn trademark. It doesn’t get any better!
Some collector out there is really going to enjoy this fine-looking Storm Troopers SA, I kid you not. $1450.00
